## Biography

Sven Ruygrok is a South African actor born in Johannesburg in 1991. He began appearing in commercials at the age of fifteen and earned a diploma in dramatic arts from Beaulieu College in 2009. He studied at the University of Cape Town.

Ruygrok is best known for playing Robert "Rambo" Black in the *Spud* film trilogy (2010, 2013 and 2014), opposite John Cleese and Troye Sivan. His other film roles include *Zulu* (2013), *A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits* (2016), *Bring It On: Worldwide #Cheersmack* (2017), *The Empty Man* (2020) and *Star Trek: Section 31* (2025) as Fuzz. On television he has appeared as Cabaji in the Netflix series *One Piece* (2023) and in *Warrior* (2019).
