Sydney Bromley (also credited as Sidney Bromley or Sidney Charles Bromley) was an English character actor. He appeared in more than sixty films and television programmes from the mid-1940s onwards.

Born Sidney Charles Bromley on 24 July 1909 in London, he began his career on stage. He appeared in the 1924 premiere of George Bernard Shaw's *Saint Joan* and in productions of *A Midsummer Night's Dream* and *Twelfth Night* at the Open Air Theatre in London in 1935. He later joined the Royal Shakespeare Company.

His film roles include the uncredited part of Johnnie, the Second Soldier in *Brief Encounter* (1945), the Sleigh Driver in *The Fearless Vampire Killers* (1967), Alf in *An American Werewolf in London* (1981), Engywook in *The NeverEnding Story* (1984), and Hodge in *Dragonslayer* (1981). He died on 14 August 1987 in Worthing, Sussex.
