## Biography

T. Rafael Cimino, also credited as Todd, is an American writer and producer. Born on 4 June 1963 in Wayne, New Jersey, he grew up in Key Largo, Florida. He earned a master's degree in naval architecture and later a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University.

Cimino began in film and television as a marine coordinator on the 1983 film *Spring Break* and on the series *Miami Vice* (1984–1989). He later worked as a story editor on *Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip* (2006–2007) and as a writer on *Real Time with Bill Maher*. His credits include writing and producing on the series *Big Little Lies* (2017) and *Nine Perfect Strangers* (2021). He has also written novels including *Mid Ocean* (2009) and *Table 21* (2011).

Cimino is the nephew of writer and director Michael Cimino. He was inducted into the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in 2015.
