## Biography

Takafumi Hori (堀 剛史) is a Japanese animator, director and writer. He began his career at Nippon Animation and has worked extensively as a key animator and animation director on numerous anime productions.

Hori is credited with key animation on series and films including *Naruto Shippūden* (2007), *Summer Wars* (2009), *Suzume* (2022), *Frieren: Beyond Journey's End* (2023) and *Kill la Kill* (2013). He has maintained close ties to Studio Trigger while working as a freelancer.

In 2016 he wrote an episode of the American series *Steven Universe* and contributed animation to *Steven Universe: The Movie* (2019).
