## Biography

Takashi Ōtsuka is a Japanese anime director and animator. Born on 23 February 1981 in Osaka Prefecture, he graduated from Osaka Designer College and joined Toei Animation.

He directed episodes of *One Piece* (1999) and *Haikyu!!* (2014), and co-wrote and directed the film *One Piece: Stampede* (2019). His other credits include series direction on *Smile PreCure!* (2012–2013) and episode direction on *Heavenly Delusion* (2023). He later worked freelance, including at Production I.G.
