## Biography

Taku Kishimoto (岸本 卓, Kishimoto Taku) is a Japanese anime screenwriter. Born in May 1975 in Hyōgo Prefecture, he graduated from Chiba University with a master's degree and worked as an editor for Cyzo before joining Studio Ghibli.

After leaving Studio Ghibli, he became head screenwriter on *Bunny Drop* (2011). He has since worked on numerous series, including series composition and writing duties on *Haikyu!!* (2014–2020), *Erased* (2016), the *Fruits Basket* remake (2019–2021), *Ranking of Kings* (2021–2022), *Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro* (2021), *Blue Lock* (2022) and *Sakamoto Days* (2025).
