## Biography

Taylor Newton Stewart is an American composer who works with John Andrew Grush as the duo The Newton Brothers. They have provided original scores for numerous films and television series.

The pair have collaborated extensively with director Mike Flanagan, scoring every one of his projects since *Oculus* (2013), including *Hush* (2016), *Gerald's Game* (2017), *The Haunting of Hill House* (2018), *Doctor Sleep* (2019) and *The Fall of the House of Usher* (2023). They also composed the music for *Five Nights at Freddy's* (2023) and *Daredevil: Born Again* (2025).

Stewart and Grush, who are not related, apprenticed under Hans Zimmer and have worked as multi-instrumentalists on scores since the mid-2000s. Their earlier credits include *Detachment* (2011) and *Ouija: Origin of Evil* (2016).
