## Biography

Ted Healy, born Charles Ernest Lee Nash, was an American vaudeville performer, comedian and actor. He began performing in vaudeville around 1912 and later appeared in feature films, often in supporting comedic or character roles.

He is credited in *Bombshell* (1933) as Junior Burns, *Dancing Lady* (1933) as Steve, *Mad Love* (1935) as Reagan and *San Francisco* (1936) as Mat. Healy originated the act that later became The Three Stooges and had a stage and screen career spanning the 1920s and 1930s.

He died in Los Angeles on 21 December 1937.
