Ted J. Kent (1901–1986) was an American film editor. Born Theodore John Kent on 6 October 1901 in Illinois, he worked on more than 150 films between 1927 and 1967, primarily at Universal Pictures.

He is known for editing Universal horror films including *The Invisible Man* (1933), *Bride of Frankenstein* (1935), *Son of Frankenstein* (1939), *The Wolf Man* (1941) and *Creature from the Black Lagoon* (1954). Kent edited nine films directed by James Whale. His other credits include *My Man Godfrey* (1936), *Letter from an Unknown Woman* (1948), *Operation Petticoat* (1959), *That Touch of Mink* (1962) and *Father Goose* (1964).

Kent received an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing for *Father Goose*.
