## Biography

Ted Malawer is an American writer and producer for film and television. His screen credits include the screenplay for the 2023 romantic comedy *Red, White & Royal Blue* (co-written with Matthew López), two episodes of the 2021 miniseries *Halston*, and two episodes each of *American Rust* (2024) and *Law & Order* (2024).

Malawer trained at the Juilliard Playwriting Program and is also a playwright whose work has been developed by theatres including the Public Theater and Atlantic Theater Company. He previously published young adult novels, including the Mystic City series, and worked as a story editor on the series *Rise* (2018). He received a Writers Guild of America nomination for adapted long form for *Halston*.
