Ted Sears was an American animator and story writer. He joined the Walt Disney studio in 1931 as head of the story department, having previously worked at Fleischer Studios and on silent films.

Sears contributed to the story or screenplay of many Disney features, including *Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs* (1937), *Pinocchio* (1940), *Cinderella* (1950), *Alice in Wonderland* (1951) and *Peter Pan* (1953). He is credited with early development of the storyboard format alongside colleagues such as Webb Smith.

Born Edward Robert Sears Jr. on 13 March 1900 in Greenfield, Massachusetts, he died on 22 August 1958 in Los Angeles, California.
