## Biography

Ted Stearn was an American animator, storyboard artist and director. He joined MTV Studios in 1995 and worked on the series *Beavis and Butt-Head* (1993) and its spin-off *Daria* (1997). He directed five episodes of *Daria* between 2000 and 2001, and one segment of the revived *Beavis and Butt-Head* in 2011.

Stearn earned a BA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1983 and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York in 1992. He later contributed to series including *King of the Hill*, *Futurama*, *Drawn Together* and *Rick and Morty*. He was also the creator of the alternative comic series *Fuzz & Pluck*.

Stearn died on 1 February 2019 in Los Angeles, aged 57.
