## Biography

Teddy Newton is an American animator, voice actor and film director. Born on 3 March 1964 in Encino, California, he studied at the California Institute of the Arts.

He worked as a storyboard artist on series including *2 Stupid Dogs* and *Dexter's Laboratory*, and on the feature *The Iron Giant* (1999). Newton joined Pixar in 2002, contributing character design to *The Incredibles* (2004) and subsequent films directed by Brad Bird. He has voiced characters including the Newsreel Narrator in *The Incredibles* (2004), Talon Labarthe in *Ratatouille* (2007), the Chatter Telephone in *Toy Story 3* (2010), and additional voices in *WALL·E* (2008) and *Up* (2009).

Newton co-wrote the short *Jack-Jack Attack* (2005) and made his directorial debut with the Pixar short *Day & Night* (2010), which received an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Short Film.
