## Biography

Temi Wilkey is a British actor and writer from North London. She studied English at the University of Cambridge and trained with the National Youth Theatre REP company in 2014. She was a member of the Royal Court’s Young Writers Group in 2017.

Her debut play, *The High Table*, premiered at the Bush Theatre in 2020 and won the Stage Debut Award for Best Writer. She co-founded the drag king company Pecs, performing in its shows until leaving in 2019. As an actor she has appeared in Royal Shakespeare Company productions and on screen in *Years and Years* (2019) as Lulu and *Manhunt* (2019) as PC Olivia Evanson.

Wilkey wrote an episode of the third series of *Sex Education* (2021), for which she received an NAACP Image Award nomination, and episodes of *Wedding Season* (2022). She was named one of Forbes 30 Under 30 and has written and performed the one-woman show *Main Character Energy*.
