Tempe Pigott was an Australian-born character actress who appeared in numerous silent and sound films, often in supporting or uncredited roles as elderly or working-class women.

She had a stage career in England, Australia, Canada and the United States before entering motion pictures in the 1920s. Among her notable screen roles were Mother McTeague in *Greed* (1924) and Mrs Hawkins in *Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde* (1931). She played Mrs Snapper in *Cavalcade* (1933).

Pigott died on 6 October 1962 in Woodland Hills, California.
