## Biography

Terence Brady was a writer and actor. Born Terence Joseph Brady on 13 March 1939 in London to Irish parents, he was educated at Trinity College, Dublin, where he acted in student productions. He moved to London in 1961 and appeared in the stage revue Beyond the Fringe.

Brady collaborated extensively with his wife, the writer Charlotte Bingham, whom he married in 1964. Together they wrote episodes for the television series Upstairs, Downstairs (1971), No, Honestly (1974–75), Yes, Honestly (1976) and Pig in the Middle (1980–83). He also wrote for Nanny and Thomas and Sarah, and adapted Riders for television in 1993. As an actor he appeared in programmes including Z-Cars and Nanny. He died on 29 September 2016 in Somerset.
