Teri Polo is an American actress. She was born Theresa Elizabeth Polo on 1 June 1969 in Dover, Delaware.

Polo began her career in modelling and ballet before moving into acting. Her early television roles included a part in the soap opera *Loving* (1987) and a recurring role as Michelle Schowdowski Capra in *Northern Exposure* (1994–95). She appeared as Rebecca Wells in *Sports Night* (1999).

She is known for playing Pam Byrnes-Focker in the *Meet the Parents* film series (2000, 2004, 2010) and Helen Santos in *The West Wing* (2005–06). Later credits include a lead role in *The Fosters* (2013–18) and its spin-off *Good Trouble* (2019–24).
