## Biography

Terri Kopp is an American television writer and producer. She wrote episodes of *Law & Order* (1990), contributing teleplays and stories for the series between 2001 and 2003, and also served as a producer on the show.

Kopp created the legal drama *In Contempt* (2018), on which she served as executive producer and writer. Her other writing credits include episodes of *Third Watch* (1999–2000), *Justice* (2006), *In Justice* (2006), *Rebel* (2017), *Proven Innocent* (2019), *For Life* (2020), *The Chi* (2019), *BMF* (2021) and *Power Book IV: Force* (2022–). She has worked as an executive or consulting producer on several of these series, as well as *Boston Blue* (2025).

Before her television career, Kopp worked as a public defender.
