## Biography

Terry Curtis Fox is an American writer, playwright and professor. He began his television career as a story editor and writer on the series *Hill Street Blues* in 1986. He later contributed episodes to *Stargate SG-1*, *Diagnosis: Murder*, *The Hunger* (on which he served as co-show runner) and other series, and co-wrote the screenplay for the feature film *Fortress* (1992).

Fox has also written plays including *Cops*, first produced by the Organic Theatre in Chicago, and *Justice*, staged at Playwrights Horizons in New York. He worked for many years as a theatre critic for the *Chicago Reader* and the *Village Voice*. He has taught screenwriting at Western Carolina University and served on the board of the Writers Guild of America, west.
