She is best known for her role as Toto in *The Wizard of Oz* (1939). It was her only credited performance, listed under the character name. Due to the film's popularity, her name was officially changed to Toto in 1942. She also appeared, uncredited, in *Fury* (1936) and *The Women* (1939).
