Thembi L. Banks is an American director and writer. She directed an episode of the HBO series *Insecure* (2020) and wrote an episode of *Only Murders in the Building* (2021).

Banks is from Harlem, New York. She attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, majoring in theatre, and holds an MFA from the University of Southern California’s Film and Television Production Program.
