Theodore Newton (4 August 1904 – 28 February 1963) was an American actor who appeared in films, on stage, radio and television. Born in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, he began acting with the Hedgerow Theatre while working as a bank clerk and made his Broadway debut in 1928. He entered films in 1933 and later returned to the stage for several years before resuming screen work in the 1950s.

Newton's film credits include *Ace of Aces* (1933), *Jalna* (1935) and *Friendly Persuasion* (1956), in which he played Major Harvey. He appeared frequently on television, with guest roles in series such as *Alfred Hitchcock Presents*, *Somebody Up There Likes Me* (1956) and *Leave It to Beaver*. He was also known for numerous Broadway appearances, including in *Dead End* (1935) and *The Man Who Came to Dinner* (1939).
