Thomas Jane is an American actor. Born Thomas Elliott III on 22 February 1969 in Baltimore, Maryland, he began his career with a lead role in the 1987 Indian film *Padamati Sandhya Ragam* before moving to Hollywood.

He gained notice in supporting parts in *Face/Off* (1997), *Boogie Nights* (1997) as Todd Parker, *The Thin Red Line* (1998) and *Magnolia* (1999). Jane starred as Frank Castle in *The Punisher* (2004) and David Drayton in *The Mist* (2007), and played Josephus Miller in the series *The Expanse* (2015–2019). He received Golden Globe nominations for his lead role in the HBO series *Hung* (2009–2011).
