Thomas Lennon is an American actor, comedian and screenwriter. Born on 9 August 1970 in Oak Park, Illinois, he attended New York University, where he was a member of the sketch comedy troupe The State. The group later created the MTV series *The State* (1993–1995).

Lennon is best known for playing Lieutenant Jim Dangle in the Comedy Central series *Reno 911!* (2003–2009, with later revivals). With writing partner Robert Ben Garant he wrote the screenplays for the *Night at the Museum* films (2006, 2009, 2014) and other studio comedies. He appeared as a doctor in Christopher Nolan’s *Memento* (2000) and *The Dark Knight Rises* (2012), and has acted in films including *17 Again* (2009) and *I Love You, Man* (2009).

He has also written for and appeared in other television series, including *The Odd Couple* (2015–2017) and *Santa Clarita Diet* (2017–2019).
