He was born Thomas Pablo Croquet on 21 November 1976 in Versailles, France. Mars has collaborated extensively with director Sofia Coppola on film soundtracks. With Phoenix and music supervisor Randall Poster, the band composed and supervised the music for *On the Rocks* (2020), including the original song "Identical". They performed similar roles on *Priscilla* (2023), curating and creating music for the film after Elvis Presley tracks proved unavailable. His earlier film work includes contributions to *Somewhere* (2010) and *The Beguiled* (2017). Phoenix formed in 1995 in Versailles and has released multiple albums, winning a Grammy Award in 2010. *Sources: en.wikipedia.org, gq.com, variety.com, latimes.com, allmusic.com.* ## On Fi1m (4) ### Performed in (1) - *Marie Antoinette* (2006), Fi1m 74, as Petit Trianon Musicians — [page](https://film.one/film/marie-antoinette.md) ### Crew (2) — the average rests on these - *Priscilla* (2023), Fi1m 74, Music, Original Music Composer — [page](https://film.one/film/priscilla.md) - *On the Rocks* (2020), Fi1m 74, Original Music Composer, Music Supervisor, Music — [page](https://film.one/film/on-the-rocks.md) ### Also credited (1) — thanks, archive footage, uncredited - *Making Marie Antoinette* (2026), Fi1m 78, as Self — [page](https://film.one/film/making-marie-antoinette.md) ## Complete filmography (11) Every credit, newest first.
