Tim Bentinck, also credited as Timothy Bentinck, is an Australian-born British actor and voice artist. He was born on 1 June 1953 in Tasmania, Australia, and moved to England as a child. He trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School after studying at the University of East Anglia.

Bentinck is best known for his long-running role as David Archer in the BBC Radio 4 series *The Archers*, which he has played since 1982. On television he appeared as Cliff Lawton in *The Thick of It* (2005) and as Tom Lacey in *By the Sword Divided* (1983–85). His film and voice credits include *101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure* (2003), *Gnomeo & Juliet* (2011), *Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them* (2016) and *Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget* (2023).

He has also worked extensively as a voice-over artist and was appointed MBE for services to drama in 2018. As the 12th Earl of Portland, he sat in the House of Lords from 1997 to 1999.
