Tim Downie is an English actor and writer. Born on 14 July 1977 in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, he trained at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts before beginning his professional career.

He is known for his recurring role as Danny Bear in the Channel 4 comedy series *Toast of London* (2012–2015) and its sequel *Toast of Tinseltown* (2022). Other television credits include Governor Tryon in *Outlander* and Kit Marlowe in *Upstart Crow*. His film work includes the Duke of Gloucester in *The King's Speech* (2010) and Montgomery Clyde in *Paddington* (2014). He also voiced the character Gale in the video game *Baldur's Gate 3*.
