## Biography

Tim Jenison is an American inventor and entrepreneur. He founded NewTek, a company specialising in computer graphics and video equipment, and is known for developing the Video Toaster and the 3D modelling software LightWave 3D.

In the 2013 documentary *Tim's Vermeer*, directed by Teller and produced by Penn Jillette, Jenison appears as himself. The film follows his multi-year project to test a theory about Johannes Vermeer’s painting techniques, in which he replicates *The Music Lesson* using optical devices and period materials in a purpose-built room in San Antonio, Texas.
