Tim Mertens is a film editor who has worked primarily on Walt Disney Animation Studios productions.

He began his career in sound editing on television series such as *Darkwing Duck* and *Rocko's Modern Life*. Mertens joined Disney Feature Animation as first assistant editor on *Pocahontas* (1995). He later served as editor on *Brother Bear* (2003), *Bolt* (2008), *Tangled* (2010), *Wreck-It Ralph* (2012) and *Big Hero 6* (2014), and has contributed additional editing to subsequent features including *Zootopia* (2016) and *Raya and the Last Dragon* (2021).
