Timnit Gebru is a computer scientist and AI ethics researcher. She appears as herself in the 2026 documentary *The AI Doc: Or How I Became an Apocaloptimist*, credited as Founder and Executive Director of the Distributed AI Research Institute (DAIR).

She previously appeared in the 2020 documentary *Coded Bias*. Gebru founded DAIR after working at Google, where she co-led the Ethical AI team.
