## Biography

Timothy Scott (born Tom Harmon) was an American character actor. Born in Detroit, Michigan, on 20 July 1937, he moved with his family to New Mexico as a child and later to Los Angeles in 1959 to pursue acting.

He appeared in numerous films and television productions, often in Westerns. His credits include News Carver in *Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid* (1969), a harvest hand in *Days of Heaven* (1978), Andy Beamis in *Footloose* (1984), and Smokey Lonesome in *Fried Green Tomatoes* (1991). He was best known for portraying Pea Eye Parker in the miniseries *Lonesome Dove* (1989) and its sequel *Return to Lonesome Dove* (1993).

Scott co-founded the MET Theatre in Los Angeles with James Gammon. He was inducted into the Cowboy Hall of Fame for his Western roles and died in Los Angeles on 14 June 1995.
