## Biography

Tito Goya, also credited as Tito, was an American actor of Puerto Rican descent. Born Andrew Butler on 4 April 1951, he appeared in supporting and character roles in several films and television series during the 1970s and 1980s.

His credits include *Marathon Man* (1976) as Melendez, *Short Eyes* (1977) as Cupcakes, *Andy Warhol's Bad* (1977) as Manuel Rivera, *All That Jazz* (1979) as Attendant, *Going in Style* (1979) as Gypsy Cab Driver, *Night of the Juggler* (1980), *Fort Apache, the Bronx* (1981) as Jumper/Detective, and his final screen role as Carlos Mendez in two episodes of *Miami Vice* (1984). He also had television appearances in series such as *Kojak*.

Goya died on 1 December 1985 in Travis County, Texas, aged 34, from cirrhosis of the liver. He had been arrested in connection with a 1978 murder in Austin and was free on bond at the time of his death.
