## Biography

Todd Graff is an American actor and filmmaker. He was born on 22 October 1959 in New York City. He began his career as a child performer on the PBS series The Electric Company and received a Tony Award nomination for his role in the Broadway musical Baby (1984).

As an actor, Graff is known for supporting roles in films including The Abyss (1989) as Alan 'Hippy' Carnes, Strange Days (1995) and Death to Smoochy (2002). He has also written and directed the musical comedies Camp (2003), for which he was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival, Bandslam (2009) and Joyful Noise (2012).
