Tom Devanney is an American television writer and producer. He was born on 13 March 1952 in Manchester, Connecticut.

Devanney began his career writing for sitcoms including *Perfect Strangers* (1986), for which he also served as producer, and *The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air* (1990), contributing three episodes as writer and working as producer. He later wrote for *Thea* (1993) and other series such as *Shaky Ground* and *Malcolm & Eddie*.

Since 2005, Devanney has been a writer and producer on the animated series *Family Guy* (1999), joining as a staff writer following the show's revival and advancing to executive producer. He has written or co-written numerous episodes and is credited as co-executive producer on the crossover episode with *The Simpsons*.
