## Biography

Tom Malone, known professionally as Tom 'Bones' Malone, is an American jazz musician, arranger and actor. He plays trombone, saxophone, trumpet and other instruments, and has worked as a studio musician and arranger on numerous recordings and television shows.

Malone graduated from the University of North Texas. He was a member of the house band on *Saturday Night Live* from 1975 to 1985, serving as musical director from 1981, and later joined the CBS Orchestra on *Late Show with David Letterman*. He was an original member of the Blues Brothers band and appeared as 'Bones' Malone in the 1980 film *The Blues Brothers* and its 1998 sequel *Blues Brothers 2000*. He is also credited in *The Last Waltz* (1978) and *A Very Murray Christmas* (2015).
