## Biography

Tom McArdle is an American film editor. He has worked extensively with writer-director Tom McCarthy, editing all of McCarthy’s feature films to date, beginning with *The Station Agent* (2003).

Their collaboration includes *The Visitor* (2007), *Win Win* (2011), *Spotlight* (2015) and *Stillwater* (2021). For *Spotlight*, McArdle received an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing and won the Independent Spirit Award for Best Editing.

Other credits include *In a World...* (2013), *The Cobbler* (2014), *Marshall* (2017) and *Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made* (2020). He joined the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2016 and is a graduate of Dartmouth College.
