## Biography

Tom Murray, also credited as Thomas Henderson Murray or T. Henderson Murray, was an American film actor. He appeared in silent films from the mid-1910s to 1931, including roles in two Charlie Chaplin productions.

He played Black Larsen in *The Gold Rush* (1925) and Sheriff Bryan in *The Pilgrim* (1923). Other credits include *Tramp, Tramp, Tramp* (1926) and *White Renegade* (1931). He was also a musician and performed with hillbilly country music groups such as the Beverly Hill Billies and the Hollywood Hillbillies in the early 1930s.

Murray was born in Stonefort, Illinois, and died in Hollywood, California. He was married to actress Louise Carver.
