## Biography

Tom Scott is an American composer, saxophonist and arranger. Born in Los Angeles, he is the son of film and television composer Nathan Scott.

He composed the score for the film *Conquest of the Planet of the Apes* (1972) and wrote themes for the television series *Starsky and Hutch* and *The Streets of San Francisco*. His film scoring credits include *Stir Crazy* (1980), *Just One of the Guys* (1985), *The Sure Thing* (1985) and *Soul Man* (1986). Scott was a member of the Blues Brothers Band and led the jazz fusion group L.A. Express.

He has received multiple Grammy Awards and nominations for his recordings and arrangements, and has worked as a session musician on numerous albums.
