## Biography

Tom Sternberg is an American film producer. He began his career in the late 1960s as associate producer on the television series *The Joan Rivers Show* and worked extensively with Francis Ford Coppola's American Zoetrope.

His credits include co-producer on *Apocalypse Now* (1979), for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture, and producer on *The Black Stallion* (1979), *The Black Stallion Returns* (1983), *Dim Sum: A Little Bit of Heart* (1985), *Eat a Bowl of Tea* (1989), *Lost Highway* (1997), *The Talented Mr. Ripley* (1999), *Under the Tuscan Sun* (2003), *Sleuth* (2007) and *The Two Faces of January* (2014). He has also acted as a producer's representative for the North American distribution of numerous foreign-language films.
