## Biography

Tom Sturridge is an English actor. Born in London, he began acting as a child in the 1996 television adaptation of *Gulliver's Travels*, directed by his father Charles Sturridge.

His early film roles include *Being Julia* (2004), *Like Minds* (2006) and *The Boat That Rocked* (2009). He received Tony Award nominations for Best Actor in a Play for *Orphans* (2013) and *Sea Wall/A Life* (2019), and a Laurence Olivier Award nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for a West End revival of *American Buffalo* (2016).

Sturridge is known for his performances in *Far from the Madding Crowd* (2015), *Mary Shelley* (2017), *Velvet Buzzsaw* (2019) and as Dream in the Netflix series *The Sandman* (2022–2025). He played Dmitri Sidorov in *The Wizard of the Kremlin* (2025) and Dennis in *The Man I Love* (2026).
