## Biography

Tom Werner is an American television producer. He co-founded the Carsey-Werner production company with Marcy Carsey in 1980 after working as a programming executive at ABC. The partnership produced a string of successful sitcoms.

Werner served as producer or executive producer on *Roseanne* (1988–1997, with a 2018 revival) and its spin-off *The Conners*. He held similar roles on *The Cosby Show* (1984–1992), for which he won a Primetime Emmy, *A Different World* (1987), *3rd Rock from the Sun* (1996–2001) and *That '70s Show* (1998–2006). He has also produced films including *Let's Go to Prison* (2006). Outside television, Werner is chairman of the Boston Red Sox and Liverpool FC through his investment in Fenway Sports Group.
