Tomasz Borkowy is a Polish actor, often credited as Tomek Bork. He was born on 17 September 1952 in Warsaw and graduated from the theatre college in Kraków in 1977. He first visited the United Kingdom in 1978 and moved there permanently in 1980.

In Poland he is best known for his leading role as Andrzej Talar in the long-running television series *Dom* (1980–2000). His British and international credits include the role of Jiri in the film *The Unbearable Lightness of Being* (1988), Captain Sorin in *Doctor Who* (1989), and appearances in *Lovejoy* (1993) and *The Bill* (1995).

Borkowy has produced and performed in plays at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and runs Universal Arts, an international agency and production company. He lives in Edinburgh, Scotland, and southern Spain.
