## Biography

Tommy Pico is a Kumeyaay writer, poet and podcast host. He grew up on the Viejas Reservation in California and attended Sarah Lawrence College, where he studied pre-med before moving to New York City and beginning to write poetry.

Pico published his first book-length poem, *IRL*, in 2016. Subsequent poetry collections include *Nature Poem* (2017), *Junk* (2018) and *Feed* (2019). He has received a Whiting Award and an American Book Award.

He has written for the television series *Reservation Dogs* (2021–2023), serving as staff writer and executive story editor, and for *Resident Alien* (2021–2024). Pico also co-hosts the podcasts *Food 4 Thot* and *Scream, Queen!*.
