## Biography

Toni Kuhn, also credited as Luc-Toni Kuhn, is a cinematographer. He was born on 6 December 1942 in Biel, Switzerland. He arrived in Mexico in 1964 and studied at the Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos (CUEC) of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.

Kuhn has worked as director of photography on more than one hundred films, documentaries and shorts. His credits include *The Vanishing* (1988), *Retorno a Aztlán* (1990), *Homework* (1991) and *Novia que te vea* (1994). He was naturalised as a Mexican citizen in 1991.

Kuhn has received four Ariel awards for cinematography, the Ariel de Oro for his career, and a Heraldo award. He is a member of the Academia Mexicana de las Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas.
