Tony Basgallop is a British television screenwriter. He began writing for British series in the 1990s, contributing episodes to *Casualty* (1998), *EastEnders* (1996–2002) and *Teachers* (2003–2004).

His credits include the miniseries *To the Ends of the Earth* (2005), *Inside Men* (2012), *What Remains* (2013), *Worried About the Boy* (2010) and *Being Human* (2009). He later created and wrote for the American series *Servant* (2019–2023) and *The Consultant* (2023), and contributed to *24: Live Another Day* (2014) and *24: Legacy* (2017). He has received BAFTA nominations for his work.
