## Biography

Tony Dunsterville (1937–2008) was a British special effects technician, model maker and animatronic engineer. He began in the art department on Gerry Anderson puppet productions before constructing models for *Superman* (1978).

He worked with Jim Henson's Creature Shop on *The Dark Crystal* (1982) and *Labyrinth* (1986), where he contributed to creature workshop teams and received a BAFTA nomination for Best Special Visual Effects. Dunsterville is credited as costume designer on *Batman* (1989) and with prosthetics on *Lifeforce* (1985). He also contributed to *Who Framed Roger Rabbit* (1988) and *High Spirits* (1988).
