## Biography

Tony Selby (1938–2021) was an English actor. He trained at the Italia Conti Stage School and made his professional debut as a child performer.

He appeared as Sam in a 1975 episode of the BBC sitcom *The Good Life*. Selby was best known for playing Corporal Percy Marsh in the ITV series *Get Some In!* (1975–1978) and Sabalom Glitz in *Doctor Who* (1986–1987). His other credits include the films *Alfie* (1966), *Witchfinder General* (1968) and *Superman* (1978), and television roles in *EastEnders* (2002) and *Love Hurts* (1992–1994). He worked extensively in British stage, film and television over seven decades.
