## Biography

Torleif Hoppe is a Danish screenwriter. Born on 27 December 1965 in Copenhagen, he was co-creator of the television series *The Killing* (2007–2012) and wrote the screenplay for all three seasons, contributing to more than twenty episodes.

He has also written episodes of *Nikolaj og Julie* (2002) and *Those Who Kill* (2011), provided storyline for *The Bridge* (2018), and created and written the series *DNA* (2019). Earlier in his career, Hoppe was a member of the rock band D.A.D. and directed the documentary *D.A.D.: True Believer* (2008) about the group.
