## Biography

Tricky, born Adrian Nicholas Matthews Thaws on 27 January 1968 in Bristol, England, is an English rapper, producer and actor. He first came to prominence as a member of the collective Massive Attack, rapping on their 1991 debut album *Blue Lines*, before releasing his solo debut *Maxinquaye* in 1995.

As an actor, he is credited as Right Arm in the 1997 film *The Fifth Element*. He has also appeared in *Ghost in the Shell* (2017, uncredited) and the television series *Girlfriends* (2000).
