## Biography

Tristan Oliver is a British cinematographer specialising in stop-motion animation. He trained at Bristol University, completing a postgraduate certificate in film after earlier studies in drama and English. He began working regularly with Aardman Animations in the early 1990s.

His credits include director of photography on *Chicken Run* (2000), *Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit* (2005), *Fantastic Mr. Fox* (2009), *ParaNorman* (2012) and *Isle of Dogs* (2018). He has also served as stop-motion director of photography or model unit cinematographer on several Wes Anderson projects, including the stop-motion unit for *Asteroid City* (2023). Oliver is a member of the British Society of Cinematographers.
